Commercialisation Mentoring and Advice:

Has provided consulting and mentoring advice to a wide range of technology companies and, in some cases, has forged partnering arrangements with large market players in the medical, lighting, engineering and manufacturing sectors. In a select number of these companies Brian has continued to work as part of the management team and/or as shareholder/director. For example, in the case of MIGfast, a spin out from the CRC for Welded Structures, he was the General Manager for 2007 until a full time candidate could be secured. He is an executive director of the Active Reactor Company, a successful start up Melbourne based technology company that provides energy saving devices for street lights and other high wattage lights, and Wildcard Technologies.

Grant and Funding Assistance:

Assisted 2 existing clients to secure venture capital funding. Successfully led the application process for 20 Federal, including Commercialisation Australia, and State Government grants.

Workshop Delivery:

Has made presentations to the Victorian State Government’s RBIRP Pyksis “Pioneer” Programs and Price Walker Consulting “Roadmap to Successful Commercialisation” and “Fork in the Road” Programs. In addition has assisted technology companies for Pyksis Pioneer Graduation Showcases and Mentoring for Commercialisation Funding program.
